Participation Requirements

1. Completed registration and sent payment prior to class

2. Must be a current NAAGA member (dues paid)

3. Must have completed New Member Orientation Class (NMOC)

4. Must have completed one of the following:

   • Marksmanship Proficiency Assessment (MPA)

   • BRGC Foundations Class

   • Competitive Team Bootcamp

5. Attend Safety Briefing

6. Arrive on time – check-in required before shooting

NO EXCEPTIONS...this is to ensure safety and a positive experience on the range!

REGISTRATION/PAYMENT:

If you paid in a previous event, please reach out to us to be registered before purchasing new tickets.

Schedule:

• 09:00 am - arrival for those who have not zeroed his or her weapon

• 09:30 am – Sign-In & Waivers (MANDATORY) for ALL

• 09:45 am – Safety Briefing (MANDATORY) for ALL

• 10:00 am – Rifle

• 02:00 pm – Event Ends

WAIVERS

Please complete these in advance (if not already on file):

1. Bass Reeves Gun Club Waiver (Online)

2. South River Gun Club Waiver (Print,Sign, and bring with you)

 Required Gear (Note: No ammo, firearms, or gear available for rent or purchase at SRGC)

• At least 1 rifle per person (If you do not have your own rifle, please reach out to Larry Brown larry.brownjr@bassreevesgc.com before the event)

• Minimum of 2 magazines

• 150 rifle rounds

• Eye and ear protection

• Rifles/AR/AK → must have a sling

• Long pants, collared or crew-neck shirt, closed-toe shoes

• Notepad + 2 pens

• Water (minimum 6 bottles recommended)

Special Instructions

This session will run in two separate areas and will be limited to AR‑15 or AK‑47–style rifles only.

Bay 14 – Foundations & Skill Building

Bay 14 is designated for shooters who are new to the rifle platform or who want to reinforce their fundamental handling skills. This is the ideal place to start or refresh your journey with the AR/AK system. If you need to borrow a rifle, please contact Larry Brown at larry.brownjr@bassreevesgc.com. You’ll be assigned a loaner rifle and provided instructions on how to purchase the required ammunition for the session.

Estimated round count: ~150 rounds

Long Range – Zeroing & Distance Engagements

This location is limited to 10 participants.

We will pair shooters and run a structured course of fire:

10 rounds at 100 yards

10 rounds at 200 yards

The top 6 performers will advance to 300 yards

Each shooter will have up to 15 minutes per stage to maximize efficiency and conserve ammunition

After completing the stages, participants may continue working from the 100‑ and 200‑yard positions.

Estimated round count: 30 rounds (with the option to shoot more afterward)

• Mag holders, chest rig, plate carrier, tactical vest

• Snacks (trail mix, protein bars, fruit, etc.)

• Sani-wipes, multitool, cleaning kit, first aid kit
