Juneteenth Shooting Event – Make‑Up Outdoor Session

Celebrate Juneteenth with a full‑spectrum training day designed to make up for the last two postponed outdoor shoots. This session will focus heavily on rifle skills, with options for pistol development as well.

Rifle Training – Two Tracks

1. Advanced Rifle (Physical Component Included)   For experienced shooters, this track adds a heart‑rate‑elevating physical element before each drill. Expect movement, stress‑based reps, and performance under fatigue to sharpen your real‑world capability.

2. Rifle Fundamentals (Beginner‑Friendly)   For members who want to learn rifle from the ground up, this lane is 100% focused on fundamentals:

• Safe handling

• Mounting and stance

• Sight picture & trigger control

• Basic manipulations

• Introductory live‑fire reps

Perfect for new shooters or anyone wanting a clean reset on technique.

Pistol Skills Area

For those who prefer to work pistol, we will also have dedicated space to run pistol drills and skill development.

This allows members to choose the platform that best fits their goals for the day.

Perfect for members who’ve attended Ladies’ or Men’s Day Out or want focused range time and drills (mix of pistol and rifle) to sharpen his or her skills.

Participation Requirements

1. Completed registration and sent payment prior to class

2. Must be a current NAAGA member (dues paid)

3. Must have completed New Member Orientation Class (NMOC)

4. Must have completed one of the following:

   • Marksmanship Proficiency Assessment (MPA)

   • BRGC Foundations Class

   • Competitive Team Bootcamp

5. Attend Safety Briefing

6. Arrive on time – check-in required before shooting

7. OBEY POSTED SPEED LIMITS AND PARKING INSTRUCTIONS

REGISTRATION/PAYMENT:

**NEW* YOU WILL PAY THROUGH THE WEBSITE ONLY . Pre-registration is required. Note: Registration closes and payment due THURSDAY before event.

If you are a South River Member, please email contact@bassreevesgc.com before payment for a discount on your range fee (confirmation is required).

If you paid in a previous event, please reach out to us to be registered before purchasing new tickets.

Schedule:

• 09:30 am – Sign-In & Waivers (MANDATORY)

• 09:45 am – Safety Briefing (MANDATORY)

• 10:00 am – Handgun & Rifle Sessions Begin

• 12:00 pm – Break & Rotation

• 01:45 pm – Bay Clean-Up

• 02:00 pm – Event Ends

WAIVERS

Please complete these in advance (if not already on file):

1. Bass Reeves Gun Club Waiver (Online)

2. South River Gun Club Waiver (Print,Sign, and bring with you)

 Required Gear (Note: No ammo, firearms, or gear available for rent or purchase at SRGC)

• At least 1 handgun and/or rifle per person

• Minimum of 2 magazines

• 100 handgun rounds and/or 120 rifle rounds

• Eye and ear protection

• Belt or waistband holster (no ankle or cross-draw)

• Rifles/AR/AK pistols → must have a sling

• Long pants, collared or crew-neck shirt, closed-toe shoes

• Notepad + 2 pens

• Water (minimum 6 bottles recommended)

Special Instructions

• OBEY POSTED SPEED LIMITS AND PARKING INSTRUCTIONS

• Max 2 firearms per person on the line (others must stay in designated area)

• Firearms must be in good working condition

• Expect light calisthenics & movement drills (modifications available if needed)

• Dress for weather & stay hydrated

• Targets provided

Recommended (Optional) Gear

• Mag holders, chest rig, plate carrier, tactical vest

• Snacks (trail mix, protein bars, fruit, etc.)

• Sani-wipes, multitool, cleaning kit, first aid kit
